Default Placement of nav lights

I'm removing the bow red/green nav light from the new boat and
am thinking of placing one single color nav light on each side of the
center console.

I can't seem to find the damned rule regarding nav lights. I believe
having the red/green lights on the side is perfectly legal, but I'm
looking for a "source." The USCG site seems to be down here.

Anyone? Ferris? Ferris Bueller?

Thanks:

"Sidelights - Colored lights - red on port and green on starboard -
showing an unbroken arc of the horizon of 112.5 degrees, from dead ahead
to 22.5 degrees abaft the beam on each side."

Sidelights it is.
