Default Zinc Bar Placement

1) Does the zinc bar need to be bolted throught the hull?
2) Does it have to be below water line?
3) Can I just use a copper wire and wire it to my hull?

I have too many holes already and would like NOT to drill yet another.

NO
You should use copper wire inside the boat to bond the zinc to the bonding
system which in turn should be grounded to your DC ground at one point only,
preferably where the battery ground connects to the engine. There are some
exceptions to this rule. Check with the engine manufacturer or boat builder.
