Wow..........I think I fished out of one of those on Harker's Island.

What, a Parker or a Zimmerman style lobster boat?

Got a buncha electronics to install, too. I'm letting the dealer install a
through-hull transponder, though. I don't "do" holes in the bottoms of
boats, at least not deliberately.

Pussy. ;-)

Beat me to it. :)

I was trained in metalwork, not plasticwork.

No kidding.

I've got a full wood shop down in the barn, but I havne't used it in
years. I have this habit of slicing/cutting/sticking tools into my
body for some reason - Mrs. Wave finally forbid me from using the
tools without adult supervision. :)

I've never done much metal work although I worked for Heald Machine
Tool for several years after I left the computer biz.

I love to weld though - and, oddly, I'm pretty good at it - TIG, MIG,
Gas, stick - I love it. Don't do a lot of it, but I enjoy it. And
I've never hurt myself welding anything. :)

Never done much glass work. Might want to try it some time over this
winter - there are a few things I'd like to do to the Ranger - custom
this and that. At the shop where I hang out occasionally, they have a
first class glass guy - I just might intern with him over the winter
just to learn.

I am good at metal work and over the last 15 years have become very good at
wood work. I grew up around and in a machine shop. Dad was partner in one
of the bigger shops in the SF Bay area. So I could turn out cannons on the
lathe when I was 10-12 years old. As to welding, can not get my new spool
gun working on aluminum welding, but the new wire feed Lincoln is a great
toy. Just got to do a lot of welding a couple of weeks ago making a new
skate board rail with a kink in it. Fun. As to fiverglass, used to be
pretty good at it. Race a fiberglass bodied car, so got some fairly often
experience at repairing the body.
