Just got done calling the closest 2 storage facilities (in proximity to our house) and the one is $100/month (5% discount 6 months paid in advance; 10% discount 12 months paid in advance), and the other is running a special of $85/month (normally $95) now thru the end of August, I believe she said. This is for a 10x25 garage-type indoor storage unit to store a 17' boat/trailer in. The one place also offers outdoor storage for $1.50/linear foot/month, with a minum of $35/ month. Which is great, but not the safest/most secure. We don't have a pole building or anything, and I don't really care to have a boat/ trailer parked outside my house year-round, so if DH ends up buying this boat he's looking at, we need to figure out where to put it. I haven't called the marina to ask them, but I'm sure it's probably more expensive than the storage units! This may help you as you can get prices from various States and regions: http://www.extraspace.com/default.as...e_boat_storage Wow...I could clean up operating a boat storage lot! If you buy real estate on speculation of a high demand for the property in the future you are wise to construct low cost storage units on the land while waiting for the land price to go up. I'm more than a little familiar with the concepts of land speculation. :} |
