what do storage units go for in your area?

Jeesh! I had no idea renting a storage unit was so expensive!! Just
got done calling the closest 2 storage facilities (in proximity to our
house) and the one is $100/month (5% discount 6 months paid in
advance; 10% discount 12 months paid in advance), and the other is
running a special of $85/month (normally $95) now thru the end of
August, I believe she said. This is for a 10x25 garage-type indoor
storage unit to store a 17' boat/trailer in. The one place also offers
outdoor storage for $1.50/linear foot/month, with a minum of $35/
month. Which is great, but not the safest/most secure. We don't have a
pole building or anything, and I don't really care to have a boat/
trailer parked outside my house year-round, so if DH ends up buying
this boat he's looking at, we need to figure out where to put it.
I haven't called the marina to ask them, but I'm sure it's probably
more expensive than the storage units!
Rochester NY, for a 10x20, $115 per month. That was the cheapest I found,
unless I wanted to drive out the the sticks, where I could've paid $80-$90.
