If anybody is interested.
http://www.swsports.org/images/Princecraft/gallery/ For somebody who is part of this august body of regulars, I'm willing to cut some slack on the price. |

I'm starting to lean toward something like that. The wife seems to be working more & more...so it's just me & the dog now. I was thinking of something that size with the side console and 2 swivel seat set-up. (just in case the wife joins me on occasion) I was wondering how a 9.9 hp four stroke would push a boat like that around. (no interest in tubing, water skiing or fishing) On the other hand, my son might get interested in something he can take his buddies out on. I just want something small and easy to tow/launch by myself. |

Me and the dog can decide to go fishing, make a sandwich or two, and be on the water in half hour or less. A small trailer boat like that is just the ticket if you just want to grab and go, cheap and often. I use this little trailer skiff more than ever lately, easy to trailer, launch, store, and the gas bill is pocket change. I would not however reccomend a smaller engine on that boat. The hull is designed for planing speed, and to be very efficient (relatively) at slow speeds too. If you don't want planing capability at all, you don't need the Vee, a flat bottom skiff or scow would probably be a better choice for comfort and room, and stability. Here is my boat: yaimkool.com 7.5 mph top speed, but you can walk around in it all day long. But there have been times when I curse the displacement speed, like last year when a huge storm came up and caught us about 3 miles from shelter. I like my boat, but if given a choice, I might take a slight vee with enough power to get on plane. Either way, small trailer boats like this are great, I think I will always have one. Sittin' there.... ready to go....... no excuses! |

Any idea what the combined weight of boat and motor is? Well, the boat weighs in at 205 lbs and the engine is around 50 lbs. Add another 50 for the battery and 10 for the gas its still under 300. |

A lot of guides up in Canada use them. In fact, that's how I got this one - went with a guide one fall and found a dealer when I returned. |
