On Tue, 15 May 2007 17:54:09 -0500, John H. penned the following well considered thoughts to the readers of rec.boats: Careful! Sounds like Jimmie's looking for info to begin another rant about your possessions! Just so we are on the same page..... the house and the garage/workshop combined 7600 sq ft...... The trend in new construction in our area for the past few years has been large, oversized houses of 5K to over 10k square feet. Until recently, they sold as fast as they were built. Great for young families raising a bunch of kids, but it doesn't make sense to me when they are all off on their own and it's just me and Mrs.E. Of course, she replaced the three kids with three dogs and three horses in addition to the 5 grandkids. (had to stop and count them .... don't ask me to name them) Eisboch That was also the trend around here.........al tleast until the last year or so especially with the young buyers. They are now putting an emphasis on quality vs. size.........a smart move. edit |
