Default Mothers Day.........

Not OT as we all have Mothers...........

My wife has been nagging me to take down and replace a flowering crab tree
in front of my office as a Mothers Day gift.

OK, even though she is not my mother I agreed as one does not argue with
the boss. After a couple of days of labor the old tree and stump were
removed (the stump and roots were the tough part) although I needed a bit
of persuasion from our SUV. Many more hours were spent cutting it up to
firewood size and hauling it to the back yard to age.

Her new Japanese Maple arrived today and was planted and watered.

Happy Mothers Day. This is the most effort and expense I ever put into
this holiday.

Now back to work on my boat.

PS: She will be sorry on Fathers Day. ;-)

My wife joined me today and she cleaned the interior of the boat while I
installed the transducer on my new Garmin Fishfinder/GPS. We got the
biminni up, washed the outside and left............windy and cold.

I dropper her off at home and went to Costco to pick up 3 slabs of babyback
ribs. Made the wet rub for the ribs..........rubbed it into the ribs and
wrapped them tight for overnight marinating in the mess. Also picked up a
bouquet of flowers and a Cheese Cake Factory 4 flavor pie for her.

I had picked up the cole slaw earlier and made the dressing after the ribs
were done........the slaw is now soaking with dressing

Ribs and slaw soaking...........ready for tomorrow's feast.

Flowers, ribs, slaw, fries. cheese cake and a work free day for
her.............she deserves it.

She has to top this on Fathers Day. ;-)

Maybe she'll let you get a Mohegan haircut. :} I would, but I just
don't have the hair for it.

My wife loved everything about this weekend and gave me a big kiss after the
meal, saying it was the best Mothers Day she ever had.

The kids made it special. My wife drove down to Ohio State/Columbus on
Friday to enjoy the day with our daughter and was treated to a nice lunch at
the Cheese Cake Factory and a pair of earrings. Today my son gave her an
assortment of plants and a hand made card.

I hope your SO or Mom had an equally good day. ;-)

Default Mothers Day.........

My wife got a Wii from the kids! How thoughtful was that!? She appreciated
the humor, and received some other (more appropriate) gifts as well.

We're very happy for you, Jimmie. Would you tell us what was written in the
cards and what you had for lunch at the Cheese Cake Factory? That would be
very interesting.

Some pictures of the card would be great!
