Has it thawed out enough to go boating yet, back there in the
midwest? :-)

It's almost 80F where I am, adjacent to Chesapeake Bay in Maryland.
It's 61F in Seattle, where Chuck practices his year-around indoor boating.

At least you have a few days of summer.

My father in law and his wife are either up in the pacific northwest or
almost there for vacation. They take the train from Florida (he's a
railroad retiree). Anyway, they liked the Canadian Pacific so much
during their last trip there, they went back for another month to see
more of British Columbia and a side trip to Cali-forn-ia.

Was 82 yesterday and water temp at Forbes lake was 55 degrees. A
friend of mine took his 19 ft sea ray out and he and his family had a
blast.

Yep, it's getting to be about that time.

Not in the midwest, but here in the northeast tomorrow is the official first
day of the boating season at our marina, although boats have been being
launched since April 1st.

I am planning on going down and spend some time on the Navigator, fire up
the engines and generator, "summerizing" the water systems and getting the
refig cold and ready to stock up.

Meanwhile, it's still raw and raining .... 52 degrees. You'd feel right at
home.

Very nice here. Was 90 on Friday. 80's on Saturday when we helped out at
the park district kids fishing day at the local lake. Went boating on
Thursday, and bent a kicker prop, so it is sent off to be reconditioned at
Phil's props at Lake Shasta. Rockcod season opens tomorrow South of Pidgeon
Pt., so may go on a friends boat. Staying away from fishing out of Berkeley
as part of the freeway interchange I use to get there fell down after a
tanker truck fire and will be out of service for at least 2 months.
