My boat needs a wax job and is a little yellow. What do I use to clean it

Gelcoat oxidizes and white gelcoats yellow. I would suspect that is what
you are seeing rather than old wax. You could confirm by wiping a spot down with some alcohol or a harse detergent. That will remove any old wax and if it is still yellow then your problem is the gelcoat. Since gelcoat is generally pretty thick you can usually use a fine buffing compound on it. That will take off a little and restore more of the original color. "CB" wrote in message ... My boat needs a wax job and is a little yellow. Iran and Syria supply their surrogates, in Hezbollah, el Qaeda and the rest, America is forced to fight Islamo-fascism for fear of them coming to her shores and Libs fight to keep America's President down while preventing America from being Energy independent of OPEC, the perfect storm. Hmmm, Why do I suspect that "CB" isn't at all concerned with wax? Posting the word "boat", followed by a 5 line political troll in the sig line makes the post, really, a political troll. In fact, this sig is a long-line troll with a new bit of bait hooked up on every phrase. Does CB = "Combat Bunny"? The style is pretty similar. I've always thought sock puppets were silly, since way back in the days when Sherry Lewis was on TV. |

Chuck, I just realized that JimH found a way to make a donation to the Race for the Cure without it showing up in the scroll. I think he may have clicked on the 'Racing for Renee' button instead of the 'Support Renee' button. The donation then gets added as a Team Gift, and does not show up in the scrolling list. Komen "Race for the Cure", Seattle district, within the last two weeks. Same organization; and while it won't show up on your daughter's donor list it will accomplish the same good. We also just got tapped by Habitat for Humanity for enough to buy "a front door, a back door, and X sq feet of kitchen flooring" at charity breakfast last week. The charitable well is temporarily dry. You might be interested to know that our yacht club is assembling a team of people to participate in the Seattle race this year- and has been challenged by another yacht club to either turn out more walkers/ runners or raise more $$$. There's an option for those of us not predisposed to "race for the cure". It's called "Sleep in for the Cure", and involves an exercise of the check writing muscles. :-) |
