Bad tidings for lake levels and drinking water for this overpopulated state! On the other hand, great days for taking the boat out! I cleaned up my boat, Sea Ray 185 Sport, and charged the battery and fired up the motor last weekend. Yesterday, my friend called and said "Let's go fishing." I said, "Ok." We trailered to Clear Lake and launched at Lakeport. Light winds. Blue skies. Mid 70's. Uncrowded (it's a big lake and it was a weekday). Flat water. Deli sandwiches, sodas, double-stuff Oreo's, Opened up the throttle a couple of times, otherwise just cruised from fishing hole to fishing hole for 8 hours on a beautiful day. I wish I had been prepared to dig the boat out. I want to work on it in the worst way, but the only place I have at my house is the lawn, and it's waaay too soggy and tracks up easily. errrr! maybe next week the lawn will solidify that is, if no more rain, and then can I plan out what I want to do to it. |
