Perhaps a quick read of RFC 2822 is in order. Damn, Outlook Express isn't RFC compliant. What a shocker. ;-) But I suspect Forte isn't either. Section 2.2 of the above RFC, states that " Header fields are lines composed of a field name, followed by a colon (":"), followed by a field body, and terminated by CRLF.
