Not usually. Pretty simple mostly.
Most people around here pull 'em out and throw 'em away. In your
case, it wouldn't hurt to run without it long enough to see if that
solves the o'heat problem. If it does, you can replace it if you want
to.

bank 1 shows a bit of discoloration already(I think that's what it's.)
The entire cylinder head's color is a little different(a little
duller, I guess) from the block. Is this the beginning of the end for
an engine? I read that discoloration is very bad.
