Slowly I am reinstalling some of the software I used with Windoze XP. So
far, none of the major packages has failed to reinstall properly. A few of the biggies already have "updates" for VISTA. Just installed Nikon View. No update, the same version I used on XP. Works fine. One of the only programs to date, though, that asked for a "reboot" after the install. Photoshop CS2 opens more quickly than it did under XP, but I would guess that is more because of the upgraded CPU than the OS. Still, it is nice to see it virtually "snap" open. My iPOD software works fine, as does Roxio Media Creator 9 (except for one small app in the suite I don't use). Diskeeper works with an upgrade. Quicken is fine. Acrobat Professional works fine. Efax Messenger does not work properly, but an upgrade is not expected until April. Mailwasher works, as do the Mozilla products. So far, no real problems. |
