You can get above ground pools very cheaply, and you do see them in the

Other places, too... And the quality above ground pools are a good
idea, too.... it doesn't lower the resale of your property and isn't a

Also, may make the house more saleable. Having a pool eliminates about 50%
of the buyers.

would cost to have it filled with garden soil and turned into a planter.
