The rule of thumb is to have at least one inch of trim tab span (per
side) for every foot of boat length. (Examples: 22 foot boat = no less than 24" x 9", 36 foot boat = no less than 36" x 9"). The 9" chord (fore to aft measurement) should be suffient unless you are limited in space and have to go smaller than a 24x9 unit, in which case you would need to go with 18x12 trim tabs. For trim tab sizing specs go to http://wildblueboating.com/trim_tab_selector_page.html Tom Buhlinger wildblueboating.com Josh Assing wrote: I have a 92 BlueWater cuddy runabout in need of trim tabs. What size trim tabs should I go with? Has anyone tried/reviewed/know of anyone with "Smart Tabs"? Thanks -josh --- AntiSpam/harvest --- Remove X's to send email to me. |
