Alleged birth of Christ.

'Alleged birth' of Christ as opposed to what? Miraculous incarnation?

Jesus's life was recorded by Roman historians, so if he wasn't born,
than it would truly be a miracle.

That's about what I was thinking. I wonder who presided at the alleged
birth of basskisser.

A bass?

Alleged bass. Probably a catfish.

I can prove the existence of a catfish, can you prove the existence of
Jesus Christ? If so, I'd like to see.

Lots of proof. Roman's wrote down the facts in the case. There is lots of
proof of JC. There may not be proof that he was "Son of God". But lots of
data on Jesus himself.

The Romans wrote many, many historical fictional works. Please provide
proof that Jesus Christ was born. Do you also believe the bible, and
thus believe the earth is around 6000 years old?

You do not believe that Earth is at least that old?

Believe what you will, that's your right. I haven't read anything here
where anyone was trying to change your beliefs.

Besides, proving his existence would be hard. He died.

Do you believe the world is only 6000 years old as the bible professes?

One can believe that Jesus was born, that he lived and that he died,
without believing the world is only 6000 yrs old. Most people who do
not believe Jesus was god or a prophet believe Jesus was born about 2000
yrs ago, why don't you?

If you don't believe the earth is only 6000 years old then you can't
believe the bible! I never said that I don't believe Jesus was born
about 2000 years ago. Where did you get that idea?

Damn, you are dumb as a post! Where did I ever say that I don't believe
the Earth is "at least that old"? You just can't comprehend a thing you
read, can you? If you believe the bible, you must believe that the
earth is ONLY around 6000 years old, you fool.

Do you think Jesus is a fictional character who did not live
approximately 2000 yrs ago?

Never said that. Never intended that. Sorry, Reggie, you can't put
words in my mouth.

In short, he could have been a real character, and could quite possibly
been fictional. Do you have any evidence that he was real? And again,
do you believe that the world is 6000 years old, or don't you?

No I don't believe the world is 6000 yrs old, do you?

Nope, it's much, much older.

Yes I do believe an individual by the name of Jesus lived about 2000 yrs
ago, do you?

No, no one has shown me any diffinititve evidence of such. I don't
however NOT believe it, either, same reason, no one has shown me any
evidence that there wasn't.

I probably got that idea when you said "alleged birth" or "can you prove
the existence of Jesus". If you believe Jesus was born, there is no
"alleged birth.

For what it is worth, there are many people who believe Jesus is the son
of god, and don't believe the bible is an accurate description of
natural history.

Well, i guess one can not believe in any historical info, because one
can always say it was not definitive.
