After our typical little rain shower this last week, the USCG is still
busy extracting people from flooded homes, etc. Video of the rescue near Randall, Wash. can be downloaded from this link: http://www.uscg.mil/d13/publicaffairs/av/11-08-06.wmv You can tell the copter crew isn't from the Pacific NW. They mispronounce the name of the town to which they will be taking the "survivors". (Chehalis) The correct way to say it is Cha-hay-lis. The copter crew use a short "a" instead and say Cha-haw-lis. Obviously, these are about the same extraction techniques used at sea. |
