Ok, Lamont is a geek and a one issue candidate with all the
personality of a grave stone, but this is a pretty good commercial.

Gotta give him props on this one.

If voters turn off the reruns of "Raymond" long enough to compare what
Lieberman says to the legislation he's supported, Lamont's got a chance.
But, it probably won't happen.

Couldn't be - he only won endorsement by 3% and barely got a 2% lead
in the primary.

You obviously don't consider 2% or 3% a royal 'trouncing'. What's wrong
with you?

Aren't these the same folks who considered Bush's 'trouncing' of Kerry just
a slim lead?

This isn't horseshoes.

It was a primary...meaning only partisan Democrats had a say. He was
favored by the most left of the lefties by only 2 percentage points. What
happens when the moderates and Republicans get to cast votes?

Good point but you obviously know that the standards the liberals judge
conservatives by are not the same as those they apply to themselves.

We see that in this very NG day in and day out.

Why the libs cannot see that is beyond me. ;-)

Meanwhile, since Joe was too chicken**** to show up, at least that freed

Not being from Connecticut, I haven't been paying much attention to the
race. However just yesterday, I heard an interview with the other
candidate, Alan Schlesinger. Perhaps because he doesn't stand a chance,
he was speaking quite candidly, and, based on the interview alone, seemed
like a quite reasonable candidate.

Hey, cold over there across Buzzard's Bay? It was 27ºF over here this
morning.

I was going to take the Ranger for a ride out to the Race this
morning, but uh uh. I'll wait 'til next week when it's a little
warmer.

Yes it is. I am afraid the nice fall weather is giving way to the bleak,
black and white of early winter.
Usually by now we would be long gone for Florida. Not this year.
