![]() wrote in message ups.com... I crammed my 19' boat (3.0L alpha) into my enclosed, insulated garage. Do I need to fully winterize it? The garage stays in the mid-50's during the winter months. I have a trickle charger to maintain the battery. I can also pull it out monthly and run it in the driveway at idle temp. What do you think? I don't know where you live, but assuming you get cold, winter type weather, your best intentions of running the engine once a month may soon be reconsidered. One of the advantages of winterizing with anti-freeze is it's anti-corrosion benefits on the engine internals. If the boat is going to sit all winter without being used, it's worth considering.
