Be careful when editing the registry. Before you do make a new restore
point using "System Restore".


You guys are pushing my small envelope of computer knowledge. I was
thinking that if I found something strange, I would edit one word in the
file ... add a letter or something .... and then see if the problem went
away. If not ... I could go back and remove the added letter.

But ... maybe I better let someone who knows what they are doing do it.

I had an old 486 computer running Windows 3.1 that I had not used for years.
I started playing with it... seeing how many files in the Windows directory
I could delete and still have the computer run. Kinda like playing computer
roulette.
I made it quite a ways before it gave up.
