Shut up and sing Barbra........no one cares about your political views.

Link to boating (using Chuck's MO): Folks listen to music on their boat,
including Streisand songs. ;-)

As WJC said, "I feel your pain", JimH

Imagine, somebody injecting politics into a venue that should be
apolitical in nature.
The nerve!! How rude to just impose your personal political views on
an audience assembled for another event. You're right.

LOL, excellent. I don't care one way or another about Babs, but it
seems to me that the liberal political stuff is very much part of her
whole public persona and image now (she's certainly gotten more press
for that than for any specific musical activities in recent years), and
that many of the people who would pay big bucks to see her perform
would and should expect something like to be a component of her show.
It also sounds like the Bush-parodying in this case was extremely mild
and not really that political at all, just sketch-tv-like silliness.
Maybe she took a little too much time with it for what would be
expected, so it's a problem of degree; but offering a customer a refund
sounds like a pretty reasonable accommodation.

Yes, I agree. And what's even more ironic is someone who has claimed to
have a Yale degree, a medical doctor wife and a lobster boat (all
nonexistent) commenting on the situation. Ironic indeed.

Most of Streisand's fans know how political she is, and that politics
is
part and parcel of her life, and that includes her professional life.

I suspect just about everyone in audience enjoyed the skit poking fun
at
Bush.

No, the audience was not happy. Especially why it made the news.

SOME of the audience wasn't happy.

Some or all they are all audience. Was at a sales convention during the
Clinton years and they had a Clinton look alike do a parody skit. Did not
go over there, either. They paid for a Striesand show, not Mad TV.

3/4's of a Streisand Show and 1/4 of a Mad TV or SNL show. You do not have
to pay $1200 for either of those shows.
