Stretching, balance excercises etc.

This is tangential at best... but after a series of injuries I stopped running
for a couple of years and just did yoga (using a book with a title that read
something like "Richard Hittleman's 20-day Yoga Plan").

The effect on my HobieCat sailing was truly impressive. Being able to drop into
a squat, roll around on the tramp... and so-forth.

Now that I'm much older and my bod has started tightening up big-time, I wish
I'd never stopped...and I'm trying to get back into it.
