No, they'll get felons like Willie Nelson to cry to Congress and make
everybody else bail 'em out again. And again. And again.

Wait. There's a difference in trying to help small family-run farms and
big corporate farms that receive the bulk of farm subsidies.

Not to a person of principle.

It's not
exactly the subsidies that are wrong,

It's EXACTLY the subsidies that are wrong.

it's the administration of the
programs than shaft both family farms and the American taxpayer.

ANY subsidy represents a distortion of the market AND a shafting of the
taxpayer.

certainly so, the way they have been administered. But market is itself
often a corrupting influence on American life. Huge conglomerates buy
politicians; huge conglomerates move their factories overseas in order
to lower costs that are not then passed on to the consumers. huge
corporations also move their banking operations offshore in order to
avoid paying taxes to America--Halliburton is but one example.
