Yeah, my 18' bass boat certainly qualifies as a yacht.

Damn, you are dumber than a post, huh? They can't find the labor to
pick the crops, period. Who will they hire? Idiot, indeed. You was
wrong, and still are.

And you apparently miss the larger issue of wages not be adjusted to fit
market demands. This whole argument about foreign workers is a smokescreen
clouding the real issue of wages being far too low. The days of racing to
the bottom to get illegals to do the work for next to nothing are rapidly
coming to a close. Wages will have to rise and that will certainly affect
market prices. But as they've been artifically low for over two decades
it's coming time to see them adjust. Blame yourselves for pretending you
could get everything for low prices, you can't and it's now becoming
painfully clear.

Apparently that privelege is reserved for you, eh?

??????

Some screwup from one of the other groups on the long list is dumping
political crap into the rec.boats NG.

When I assert the "privilege" of dumping political crap into the group
you normally frequent, you will have a case. For now, you don't.

passed, they are still here and go on going sending their kids to
school and using social and medical services anyway. There is no
solution that involves sending the 30 million back where they came

controls what happens from now on.

Right now in CA the fruit crops are rotting on the trees because there
isn't enough pickers.

But that same nikon camera is $3000 in japan. So figure that one.

I think you're wrong, Bill. The Republican-Corporate plan to return
American workers to serfdom is still in its initial stages. And we haven't
been getting "everything" at low prices. Most of the prices middle income
folks pay for what they need are artificially high.

As an example, a Nikon digital camera that sells in this country for $1600
can be purchased in Thailand for $600.

We're being squeezed for the last drops.

And I haven't even addressed what is happening to workers at the
workplace.

I'm sure I won't live long enough to see it, but it would warm my cold
bones if middle-class Americans revolt some time in the future and stick
the heads of Republican lawmakers and judges and corporate muckity-mucks
on pikes.

Take this unrelated cross-posting somewhere else. As far as I can tell, it's
not related to any of the NGs it's cross-posted to.

Absolutely. I used to own a land yaght. a 1993 Cadilac Sedan De Ville. but
never posted to your group. Now I own another 2 wheeled land yaght. I still
haven't posted to your group. That's because I don't wear a white sports
jacket with ascot and navy blue slacks and captains cap. Or a blue double
breasted jacket, ascot and white dress pleated wool dress pants with penny
loafers and, of course, the white captains cap.
That you yacht people do.

Well, it does show the crew who's running the boat.
Uniforms are very important when displaying authority...ask any military
or law enforcement agency.
