St. Johns River Becoming 1 Large Manatee Zone

Right on. We don't close the roads or ban the construction of new
garages (docks) because a few raccoons and deer get hit either. In my
opinion the environmentalists are basically anti-boat, and we mostly
have the jetski hoards and the no-muffler go fasts to thank for that.
And who could blame them? Unfortunately for us, the manatee club and
the EPA see anything that floats and moves through the water as a
boat. The manatees were just a convenient rallying point for fund
raising and political pressure in my opinion.
