The "Rusty Lures" thread included a discussion on the use of WD40 on fishing
lures. I defer to SWRadio's opinion based on his extensive fishing knowledge and experience that it is neither a fish attractant nor repellant. Have you used it and if so, what were your results? Does it at least mask human scent while acting as a rust preventative for your lures? How about the environmental effects of using a petroleum based solvent like WD40, let alone eating fish that have ingested the solvent?
