Default Remove bearing buddy

I tried to remove the bearing buddy from my trailer using a hammer &
block of wood. I tried to tap it from side to side, that did not work;
so I used a mallet hammer and that did not work either. Is there some
better way to remove the bearing buddy from trailer? Thanks.

Thi

I've done mine by tapping side to side, and top to bottom.
