Default correct prop setup for 2001 proline 27 sport

I have a 2001 Proline Sport 27 CC. Im running dual 200 Merc carb
motors with 15.5x19 Mirage plus props. Im only getting 5000 RPM and 43
MPH out of the set up. Ive been told many things to do to get the
RPM's up to rated capacity 5500-5600. New props are way too expensive
to play with to get the correct setup. If anyone has a similar boat
and is running at the correct RPM please tell me what your motor heigth
and propset is. Thanks

The group doesn't have a huge number of posters so you may not find
anyone with a exact matching boat in the group. You might find that
one of your local shops is willing to do a try before you buy on props.
Everyone has the same problem. If not then shop for used on ebay and
some of the used prop sites. Usually you can resell a used prop for
about the same price. I'd start by dropping to a 17. I don't think
the pitch is going to greatly affect your height tweaking as long as
you are not cavitating now.

Start here...

Then find a Mercury dealer near you who participates in their demo prop
program.
