Normal hook up, nothing switched everything plugged in = running rough
- hard to start - shift into gear and it would die - finally got it into gear after 20+ attempts would not go over 2500 rpms and the boat barely broke a wake. Checked for visual spark on all four plugs and saw a spark on all four (don't know how strong the spark) Unhooked the #3 plug wire and the boat ran the same as above. Unhooked #1 & #3 and the boat hardly started ran extremely rough. Switched orange leads coming from #3 and #4 on the power pack and the boat ran same as the first symptom, running rough - hard to start - shift into gear and it would die - finally got it into gear after 20+ attempts would not go over 2500 rpms and the boat barely broke a wake. With the leads switched at the PP I unhooked the #4 SP wire and it ran same as above, running rough - hard to start - shift into gear and it would die - finally got it into gear after 20+ attempts would not go over 2500 rpms and the boat barely broke a wake. With the leads switched at the PP I unhooked the #4 & #3 SP wires and the boat ran pretty close to the first symptom ???? (2 cylinders ???) Compression test is equal on all four cylinders and new spark plugs. Fuel line and filters inspected running good - correct fuel / oil mixture. |
