I'm stumped and was hoping to get some ideas. I have a 1998 Glastron
175 with a Volvo Penta Cobra SX 135 hp engine. I've blown the same hose three times. This is the hose that connects from the thermostat housing to the circulating pump. They've all split in the same location...the top half of the hose exiting the thermostat. If you look on the inside of the hose, you can see a water line about half way up the diameter of the hose. So obviously the system is not staying filled with water. I did a raw water test and I'm getting good flow coming in. I just had the head decked and resealed so I should not be getting a pressure leak from the cylinders. Something is putting a lot of pressure (and / or heat) on the hose. I would greatly appreciate ideas. |
