Cooling hose breakage
Just got word back from the mechanic. Appears that I have a small
crack in a cylinder. I guess that would have created pressure into the
cooling system thus causing the hose to rupture. Working towards a new
engine now. The joys of boating!

Should have mentioned that in the original post. Yeh, I overheated
last spring when the impeller broke up...bad enough that I had to
replace the exhaust manifold. What a disappointment to blow another
hose! Was thinking last night if my hose may be clogged from the
thermestat to the exhaust elbow. Not sure, but I think this is the
only other place to relieve pressure besides through the thermostat. I
also repaced the thermostat last year. I've been focused on what's
building pressure and not whats supposed to be relieving pressure.
Good thoughts, I'll be taking a look. Bryan

You know.... that almost seems plausible. This shouldn't be hard to
check for. Hellatious pressure must be building up somewhere. Look for
the point in your cooling system that regulates pressure. It either
isn't or something really strange is taking place....
