I lost mine about 34 years ago, but still miss him. I'd love to go squirrel hunting with him one more time! -- 'Til next time, John H ****************************************** ***** Have a Spectacular Day! ***** ****************************************** My Dad passed away 35 years ago. What a terrible thing to go through. It took my Mom a good 3 years to get back to near normal. My 2 little sisters were only 14 and 17 years old when Dad died. I was 20 but still had a tough time getting through it. Like you, I still remember the good times my dad and I had, including fishing and hunting (rabbit and pheasant). Paul Peterson's song "My Dad" (from Donna Reed Show, 1962) still brings me to tears when I hear it. http://www.brownielocks.com/mydad.html Sorry to hear that both of you lost your Dad's. :-( My Mom died last year and I only have 6 surviving aunts and uncles out of a total of 18. We are all getting older. Aunts & uncles?? I'm down to one last aunt. I do have about 45 cousins though. |
