This is irresistible:

You go to your doctor for a checkup. He does the usual routine, and tells
you that your liver is enlarged. He asks how much booze you consume. Then,
he says this:

"You really should cut your alcohol consumption down by at least half".

What does he mean by that? What is your interpretation of that last
sentence, beginning with "You really should...." ?



I would guess he is trying to be diplomatic...seeing as so many of the
'hard cases' here bristle if someone dares tell them what to do....even
if it is for their own good.
