I have a 71 merc 7.5 on a little tinney that runs great. Agreed. I have a 1968 6hp Evinrude that runs like a sewing machine. I've changed plugs, impeller, and gear oil over the years and that's it.. I store it on a stand and give the starter rope a little tug evey few months. When I need it, it always starts within a pull or two. Even after it hasn't been started for a couple years. Rick |
