7.5hp model year.
I recently bought a 7.5 hp merc outboard that appears to be in good
condition. The seller indicated it was about 15 years old. I think it is a lot older but have been unable to determine the model year. The serial number is: 4253791. Thank you in advance for any info you might provide. |

Rob For a 7.5 they are like dog years :-) they have there own type of measurement. I have a 71 merc 7.5 on a little tinney that runs great. Did replace the stator and coils after 30 years, but hay. I store it on a stand and give the starter rope a little tug evey few months. When I need it, it always starts within a pull or two. Even after it hasn't been started for a couple years. Rick |
