That's because all we hear about is two cities - Seattle and Redmond.

This is, of course, true. The coastal cities in Washington have a distinct
list to port, but once you cross the mountains, it's a very fine line
between Washington and Idaho.

Actually, Spokane is 55% democrat so it's not as clear cut as one would
assume.

I guess that explains why they voted for a gay republican mayor, They

He was the best mayor they've had in 25 years. Both Democrats and
Republicans were sorry to see him screw up so badly.

Funny thing is, as a state rep he passed and sponsored legislation all
his life that upheld and promoted discrimination against his own
leanings.

Confused? Oh yeah.
