" Washington has the death penalty? I wouldn't have guessed that.

That's because all we hear about is two cities - Seattle and Redmond.

This is, of course, true. The coastal cities in Washington have a distinct
list to port, but once you cross the mountains, it's a very fine line
between Washington and Idaho.

Gunman kills 7 including himself at Seattle party
Sat Mar 25, 2006 9:29 PM ET
The gunman, whose identity was being withheld, then forced his way
into the house and gunned down more victims. He sprayed bullets
everywhere while barely saying a word, Seattle Police Chief Gil
Kerlikowski said.
Oh boy. The plaid shirts in rec.guns are gonna have a field day with
this paragraph. Shotgun, "sprayed bullets".

"Tell ya what, Clevis. Them reporters don't know the first dern thing
about guns".

I didn't notice what kind of gun he used to "spray," but the article
mentioned he had an "assault rifle" in his vehicle, with 30-round
clips.
I'm sure it was just a semi-auto rifle, not a full-auto, real-deal
assault rifle.

A semi-automatic pistor is a military style assualt weapon. A 12 gauge
shotgun is a miltiary style assualt weapon. A bayonet is a military
style assualt weapon. A stick is a military style assualt weapo, as is a
rock.

If you need a 30-round magazine, you're a bad shot.

Or, you hate reloading after every kill.

I thought you *were* a Marine...?
One shot...one kill!

Bert was the Brokenback Mountain marine.

You are projecting again Harry.

That's because all we hear about is two cities - Seattle and Redmond. Some
think that everyone in NY is a gun-shy liberal. But, we have plenty of
red, too.

Not enough red! But, we are working on it.

Actually, Spokane is 55% democrat so it's not as clear cut as one would

I guess that explains why they voted for a gay republican mayor, They
must of known he was in the closet. UD

According to our chief of police, he had two weapons. A "pistol grip"
shotgun and an "assault rifle."

A "pistol grip" is a choice by the shooter which enables the ability to
bring your arm down tighter to the body to better control the weapon.

What is the definition of an "assualt rifle?"

You would need to ask our Chief of Police what he had in mind when he
used the term.

Just as I suspected, there is no legal definition of an assualt rifle.
