This reminded me of something that my grandmother did - mainly, eat a salted apple. It's actually pretty good tasting as I remember it. Anybody remember grandparents doing that? No. But my grandmother used to put sugar in her beer. Does anyone else rememeber their grandmother sugaring their beer? Another one from the memory banks. :) I seem to remember the salt in beer thing from Navy days. All it seemed to do was reduce the size of the head when drawn from the tap or poured incorrectly from a bottle into a glass. RCE |
