We decided that a drizzly day with temps in the 40's would make Mystic
Seaport a
ghost town today. We had the place pretty much to ourselves. The Amistad
is
wintering at the seaport museum, and is tied up right next to the building
where
she was constructed. Inside the boat barn is the current project -
restoration
of a wooden side trawler named Roann. She's a beaut, but it's a MAJOR
restoration! They are targeting two years for completion. They are about
one
year in. It's hard to imagine this boat will be looking good a year from
now.
I'm going to post 3 pix of the Amistad and 3 pertaining to the Roann, all
taken
in very poor light with a point and shoot digital.

Great pictures! I've driven by there so many times but never stopped in to
check it out. I'll have to do that.
