I don't know what the specs are, you can probably find them in your owners
manual. If the frame/hitch can handle the weight, the next concerns are the transmission and the brakes. If you have a tow package, you probably have a transmission cooler, so that should be OK, as long as you're not very overweight. That's a heavy load and I don't know if the brakes are included in a tow package. I'd drive carefully, and avoid having to brake hard. "maxumcruiser" wrote in message ups.com... I have a 2000 expedition with the 4.6 V8. I use this to tow a 21ft Maxum which weights about 5k lbs. Do you guys think this is a safe rig. And is there anything I can do to improve my expedition's towing capacity. Thank you |
