I'll bet that when my cat attacks her first dog, she won't get any kind of
publicity. We shall see. I'm trying to figure out how to get close to some
of the strays so I can spray their necks with the liquid from canned tuna.
Or, maybe an anchovie massage.

Doug.. What happened to your Cat ferry to Toronto?
Read some reports that your mayor pulled the plug when the debts kept
rising.

The new mayor did the right thing when he decided to stop borrowing money to
keep the thing solvent. The project was a series of errors from the
beginning. They pretended that they "forgot" little details, like the huge
pilot fees they'd have to pay until the boat was flying under an American
flag. They also assumed that people from Toronto were anxious to come here
for our world-class restaurants. Both of them. :-) So, the boat's up for
sale. Nice one, too:

The previous mayor really believed the thing would work, and I can't fault
him for having a dream. But seriously...unless a Canadian's dying to see the
George Eastman House and doesn't want to drive, I couldn't see it being a
success.

Those are very nice ferries. Traveled from Barcelona to Majorca on one. I
am maybe going to go to Bay of Fundy late
April or 2nd week of May. Any problem with lodging, and transport?
Probably be in a rental car. Any pointers?

Nice story Don. We have 2 cats. If I were not allergic to dogs (saliva and
dander) we would have a couple of them also.

That time of year is a bit early. You could have cool damp weather and
most of the tourist type accommodations and attractions don't open until
the Victoria Day Weekend. (this year May 20/22)
If you are near Halifax, you should find lots of choice in hotels and
the bars are still lively with the University crowd...at least the ones
not studying for exams. We have a nice casino if you like to gamble your
money away.

Saint John, New Brunswick would be a smaller, lower key comparison.
Where would you be spending nights?

Funny thing was.... here we are..a week away from our Federal Election
day and the paper had a colour picture of the kittens on the front
page...spanning 5 columns in width and about 7 or 8 inches high.
Guess our politicians are too dull this week.

Always wanted to see the big tidal bore. Have to be in Roanoke for the
Godson's first communion on May 6th. So figured take the shuttle to Boston
and rent a car and drive up to NS. As to Casino's, I like to play cards,
and use the poker rooms at Tahoe, but being a person who grew up in the SF
bay area, I haev spent a lot of time in Reno. In our younger days, we used
to drive up Friday afternoon, party all night and return home on Saturday.
Then sleep. And having a degree in engineering, I can figure the table
odds. Not going to cost the casino money.
