Would just prove the person is a good public speaker.
Wayne.B wrote: Or a good public reader. :-) There are quite a few folks on television who deliver their lines (sometimes called the news) with a great deal of aplomb. Very few of them impress me as being particularly bright, most quite the opposite. The real test for a politician should be good judgement, sound decision making and leadership ability. One problem we have in this modern world is that elected leaders are chosen mostly for their ability to schmooze campaign donors. The only judgement they have to exercise is choosing a personal manager who can hire the right advertising companies, script writers, etc etc. "Leadership" ??!?! Next you'll be asking them to not consult polls before announcing their "decisions"! DSK |
