Why would you descend to her level, however?

You made a bigger deal than was maybe required about the obvious SPAM,
and she reacted badly. (I don't find her commercial for a boating
related product any more or less ridiculous than the anti-semitic
Psuedo JC ((as in Julia Child, the recipe gal)) who has been posting
recipes all day or Harry's non-stop citation of the latest bad poll
numbers for GWB).

Insinuating that she screws her way into real estate deals was maybe a
bit unwarranted. You don't actually know the woman, right? It's kind of
a stretch from posting spam in what's left of our boating NG (God
forbid that somebody not follow all the rules here) to selling houses
on your back or knees.

No big deal. Carry on.

This was a real lesson in Humanity for me tonight. Look at JimH's
postings and the sensless entertainment he seems to feel of okay. I
felt assaulted and hit him with a stern message and you see where the
real man took it. It's pretty sad to see this. I was and am not
SPAMMING. I have two boats and purchased some product in SC about 6
months ago. Finally, I got around to using it and put a post on the
boating sites in which I am a silent member. I see idiots on these
sites all the time, sharing recipies, for God's sake. But I never
attach them. He started it and I lashed out and see where it landed.

Usenet. Unfortunately, none could be found. On the other hand, I found

useful boating contributions? We have no problem seeing your history of
spam.

You might be interested to know how your miracle product likely works.
It's what some of my unscrupulous competitiors used to call "cheating"
the finish, back in the days when I was in the used car business. When
I got a pretty decent old car that was
mostly suffering from a case of the faded-paing uglies, I'd send it out
to Maaco and for $400 or so get a medium quality paint job. Other guys
would take a mixture of carnuba and kerosene, (lots of kerosene), and
"cheat the finish". When they were done, their cars would look almost
as good as the cars I sent out for paint, and if they sold them quickly
enough they would continue looking pretty good until about halfway to
the point where the first monthly payment was due............

You put some temporary shine on a wasted old finish by covering it with
a petroleum based product. It worked. It won't last. Maintaining that
psudeo "finish" would soon be more work and eventually cost more money
than just simply painting the boat.

Word to the wise: rec.boats is a tough neighborhood where a lot of
psychological bullies and misfit nerds hang out. Should you ever dare
express an opinion on any subject here, expect to be treated badly by
one group or another. Expect to be flamed for posting "off-topic" by a
group that includes members reduced to copying paragraphs from
Steinbeck or Hemmingway books in order to have anything remotely
related to boating to post here, and spends many hours a day immersed
in flame wars and trying to start even more.
Some members of this group will scorch you for posting "off topic", in
a week where they have launched 15-30 off-topic threads of their own
design. Yes it sounds ridiculous, but stick around- seeing is
believing.

It would be good idea to hang out here a while and learn the various
"personalities" if you think you want to post to rec boats. (For
instance, swearing at JimH was just about as politically wrong a move
as you could have made.) Odds are, if you do hang out here for a while
and learn the various personalities, you won't bother to post and
you'll move on to a less ridiculous, less explosive venue.

Good luck with rec.boats, and let us know when the shine starts to get
sticky, faded, and blotchy on that old boat. :-)

This whole thing has become insane! I Want it to Stop! I'll share a
nice message from FREDO and then my response. If anyone wants to look
at the 11 messages I've posted over the years, then you know that I'm
NOT making any money from Spamming... I have gotten more nasty e-mails.
I did get a response from the Company and they can share with anyone
my ticket of sale.. BTW, I thought I bought it 6 months ago in SC, but
it was closer to a year. I've been busy, raising 2 beautiful children
and trying to keep the Cheerios on the table. I do not even have any
time for getting on the water. But it's nice to play on my boat every
now and then. I guess, in retrospect, I should have learned that I
could have responded directly to people and not post. I did that,

Thanks you so much for your kind words. It must have been that second
glass of Merlot that made react so poorly to JimH. I posted to these
sites and got a whole storm on really horrible e-mails. They did not
stop. Some man wrote me my personal and business e-mail with such
vulgarity and downright meanness. I immediately wanted to fight back.
Then it just got worse and worse. They started attacking from all
angles. Another man looked up my IP address and researched my postings
then contacted me. Some idiots gave false testimony about the product
itself (joking). It's amazing how "hip" it is to instantly attack
people in an on-line arena. It's shocking and hurtful. Some of these
people have individually posted over 10,000 entries. Some guy on
alt.sailing.asa, the one with over 10,000 postings called me a referred
to me as a bitch.

Well... I'm a single mother and a recent cancer survivor and just
someone who did not realize that I was not supposed to put a testimony
about a good product that helped me on the post. Rather... I'm
supposed to pontificate on a boating site about politics and bread and
spaghetti recipes. That's acceptable to them. How sad is that? I'll
bet some of those people do not even own a boat!

Here's a little about the story I've been living since taking a call
from a desperate woman on Sept 7, 2005. I just finished finding the
9th family a car and a home.

went to over 55 mostly malicous messages. They researched me more...
then it got even more twisted. Do these people think I cannot research
them? I got 5 calls yesterday with hang-ups. Are these nasty old bored
people with no lifes? Why is hatred so easy? Can you help me STOP
this?

I welcome any of these guys to google "therealinrealestate." They
would not see postings reflective of anything like who they are.
