Today's figures are the first based entirely upon interviews conducted following the withdrawal of Miers' nomination. Bush Job Approval Strongly Approve 22% Somewhat Approve 22% Somewhat Disapprove 15% Strongly Disapprove 41% Bush is up 7 points among Republicans, and 4 points overall since the Miers withdrawal. And this is just 2 days after one of his Administration officials was indicted for perjury and obstruction of justice. It is the Meir's debalce being cleaned up. The Libby situation is meaningless to the base. |
