The only real truth you ferreted out is that Dave Mann has slipped a
cog. His escapade today of "doctoring" my response to a previous post
before quoting it in rebuttal proves he is the biggest proven liar in
the NG. I feel sorry for the poor old *******, living on his keyboard,
cranking out lie after lie after lie and flame after flame after flame
and then accusing others of lying and flaming. May he rot. I'm half
tempted to drop a few additonal bombs of my own from his "boat
shopping" trips to Seattle, but I think I'll try to avoid dropping to
his level. Darn good example to everybody, live your life while you can
because after your knees give out and you can't boat any more all
you'll be left with is "shoulda, coulda, woulda" and you may start
looking for somebody else to blame for you own inertia.

Chuck, my thoughts on this are that you guys need to take this angst
to email. This is between two parties that know the particulars and
this is way too personal for most people to want to be a part of.

This has degenerated into personal attacks. Not pretty....

It didn't "degenerate" into personal attack, it started off as a
personal attack with the "Open letter....." thread.

If the Kansas butthole will stop launching threads referring to or
attacking me, and stop re-titling other discussions to reflect his
particular nemesis obsesssion with me
that will be the end of it as far as I'm concerned. If I got an email
from the lying, scheming, hypocritical prick I'd have to disinfect my
hard drive, and he'd be a first class fool to approach me in person if
he ever again visits Seattle.

He's the perpetrator and instigator, so it stops when he stops it. I
don't want his email, his phone call, his personal visit, or anything
else. He has proven himself the useless piece of crap that most people
believe him to be.

Hey, Chuck, why are you so reluctant to discuss your conclusions below?
Seems to be a good boating topic to me. The discussion should be quite
revealing, don't you think?

You asked for a 50-footer (trawler or sail) capable of running "safely and

thou a clue, Psuedo; only a real sumbitch would slap your landlubbing
butt into a $160,000 to $180,000 50-footer and even begin to suggest
that it would be suitable for your purpose. I have no particular
interest in seeing you dead. There's a reason that the boats you
describe cost a lot more than you were willing to spend.

Chuck Gould's statements here are worth repeating and examining, for
they prove he is no *real* boating expert. Rather, his statements
illustrate just how clueless this charlatan is. Read his words carefully
and judge for yourself.

If somebody is supposed to read my words carefully, they need to back
track to the point *before* you doctored them up to try and bolster
your lame flamers argument, Psuedo.

The only "unethical" thing I could have done, (had you even broached
the subject and you did not), would have been to help facilitate a
graduation from your 22-foot Bayliner runabout to a 50-foot sloop.
You'd be dead within 100 miles of the dock. You would be so overmatched
by the boat it would almost be criminal negligence to sell you one.

Yes, people sail around the world in tiny little pee-pots. Here's some
news for you- those are "stunts", normally undertaken by very
experienced sailors.
Your sudden retreat to "I would have accepted a sail boat" is as
transparent as the storm windows on your Kansas toolshed.

You're right about one thing. My "boating knowledge" doesn't include
how to buy boats as per the links below for $160,000. Found one yet,
you lame, lying, pathetic poser? Of course, I suppose you would have
gladly jumped aboard maybe a 32-foot Bayliner and headed out to do some
bluewater cruising. Why didn't I think of that? Since that 22-footer of
yours survived the 30-50 foot waves you reported during your miraclous
cruise on the Gulf of California, you would probably have been content
to flog a 3288 into the teeth of Katrina to prove it was "purpose
built."

Here are the type of boats you need for what you said you intended to
do.
Obviously, I "unethically" kept you from all the secret listings of
these boats really selling for $160-180k.

The other missing leg from your stool, (and I mean that in the
biological sense) is any specifics of the supposedly "unethical"
behavior you endured.
If the worst bitch you can find is, "I wanted Chuck to help me find a
boat and he didn't get back to me with anything I felt was suitable,"
that's not unethical.

Ever stop to think that after meeting you in person I wrote you off as
a dreamer who was years away from buying a boat- if ever? Looks like I
was right.
