Harry,
It seemed the "fishing boat" was very close to the surfers. One would think
Hawaii would try to keep fishing boats and surfers away from each other.

I did not know that Hawaii had left the Union (yet).

Ahh, yes, well, then, the contiguous States...

Actually, I heard any number of Hawaiians, native-born and transplants,
use that very term, "back in the States," in reference to what was
happening back on the "mainland" USA.

Here's a photo I took as we were leaving the harbor for our fishing trip.
That's Diamond Head in the background.

Harry,
This photo is very nice, it actually looks professional. It is possible you
could sell this photo to a surfing magazine or a web site promoting surfing.
I like the way the fishing boat provided you with a perfect opportunity to
snap this photo, very impressive.

If you think Harry's photo "looks professional", and you are "very
impressed" with it, you don't know **** about photography. Also, I take
it you've never been anywhere near the Honolulu/Waikiki/Diamond Head
area? There's so many surfers in the water some days it would be hard
to motor out of the harbors without being that close to them.

I'm not. They are good for amateur photos. You need to learn (yet
again) to comprehend what you read. Smithers said the photos "look
professional", they do not. Plain enough for you?

Kevin,
I was trying to be polite, but if you want to tell Harry his picture looks
like ****, go ahead.
