From what I know, it's a good choice - mathematician and lawyer.

About damn time we had somebody who can actually think on the
Supreme
Court.

Next, the White House.

Sadly, there appears to be a dearth of capable politicians who can
actually think who are potential Presidents - Republican or
Democrat.

If you were king of the world (outside of your own boat), who would
you
pick, if you could install a president here? I'm thinking George
Carlin.

Me.

Do you think you're enough of a comedian to deal with Congress?

My first act as President (me), duly appointed by the King of the
World (me), I would immediately kick out the UN, repeal the 19th
Amendment and invade Canada.

You won't damage any of the Molson facilities, will you?

First to go. I forgot to mention the reintroduction of Prohibition -
no more liquor or beer - penalty for distributing/making/selling any
alcoholic beverage is death - no appeal, automatic sentence.

I will also repeal the embargo on Cuban cigars - but cigars only.

I'm taking you off my list. No Molson? You're a fascist.

I prefer prohibitionist.

This would be a good laugh on our part! You really are now showing that
you don't know too much about Canada's history.
The most famous regiment in Canada is the Royal 22'd. This is an all
French speaking unit of the Canadian Military. It has never surrendered
and never retreated in it whole history. This is a unit that has taken
more battle honors than any other unit. Never confuse this with anything
from France! All you have to do is ask any of your US Marines, which of
the Canadian regiments that was part of the "top gun" for Tanks and jungle
warfare beat them in competition. Also, your 10th mountain division was
beaten in a winter exercise by a Canadian unit..... Answer.....Royal 22'd

you can usually get by with that...in Canada

experiment didn't work out, so I'm after the A-frame model at this

Maybe, but here, it's cheaper.

That reminds me of the old joke about the Irishman who asked his buddy,

"Paddy, when I die I want you to pour a quart of the very best Irish Whiskey
over my grave" His buddy thought about it for a minute and then replied "I
definitely will Mick, but do you mind if I filter the whiskey through my
kidneys first?."

Since I am part Irish, I think that allows me to make a Irish joke and still
be PC.

Jim

She's not yet a member of the court. Despite the fond wishes of certain
people, this is still a representative government and she will not be a
member of the court until or unless confirmed by congress. The people
run this country, not the POTUS.

Well if you want to get all technical... CONGRESS does not confirm a
juctice. Congress is the Senate and the House. Only the Senate gets
the power of advice and consent.

Let's hope she's as good a choice as the last one. I don't know
anything about her, but if GWB is hoping to plant an arch-conservative
on the bench
he will run into a lot stiffer fight in congress than the "freebie" he
got with relatively moderate, somewhat centrist Roberts. I'll
personally feel better about the choice when the most extreme righties
begin to gripe she's not "conservative enough" (as they did with the
Chief Justice). :-)

That took about 30 minutes by my clock.
