The two C's... Canada & Cuba.... your ass would be grass! Good point. We've had a steady invasion of Cubans for some years now. And every winter, it seems there are more and more Canadians filtering into our state. |

You really are now showing that you don't know too much about Canada's history. The most famous regiment in Canada is the Royal 22'd. This is an all French speaking unit of the Canadian Military. It has never surrendered and never retreated in it whole history. This is a unit that has taken more battle honors than any other unit. Never confuse this with anything from France! All you have to do is ask any of your US Marines, which of the Canadian regiments that was part of the "top gun" for Tanks and jungle warfare beat them in competition. Also, your 10th mountain division was beaten in a winter exercise by a Canadian unit..... Answer.....Royal 22'd or as the yanks call them " Van Doos" ( Just for you NOYB, that translate to "22" from French to English ) Jim |

The Royal 22nd is an "infantry" division...and not much use against US air power. |

You got kicked out of Viet Nam, and you still can't beat the Iraqis or the Afghanistans. Where is Osama Bin Ladin? Can't find him yet? Who were the soldiers that trained your snipers in Afghanistan? Gee NOYB, were they the "Van Doo's"?...... Jim |

You can't have a discussion post without some nimrod calling some other nimrod a nimrod, wastrel, incompetent boob (~~ snerk - he said boob ~~) or other negative appellation. Hey! I ***never*** call you names. I reserve that primarily for Bert. Meanwhile: I nailed a pike that was SO big yesterday ("How big was it, Johnny", asked Ed McMahon) that it pulled my friend's canoe about 100 feet before I got it next to the craft and dehookulated it. Too bad I wasn't heading for my kitchen last night, or that bad boy would've been fish cakes by now. :-) |

Too bad I wasn't heading for my kitchen last night, or that bad boy would've been fish cakes by now. :-) I've been thinking about going cat fishing on the Connecticut sometime this Fall - but I have so many other things to do, that isn't a possibility. I ran into a pike a couple of weeks ago - small one in the 28 inch range - nothing major, but a ton of fun on a light rod. I've been concentrating on crappie fishing in fresh water and bluefish in salt - I have a friend who smokes bluefish and, while I'm not a big fan of smoked anything, this is pretty good. Do me a favor. Don't tell me about bluefish until next April. I want to get to Montauk before Thanksgiving, but I don't think it's gonna happen. Smoked bluefish is outrageous. I have a recipe for a remoulade that goes great with smoked fish. I'll sell it to you in return for a used handheld GPS unit. :-) |

I'm in the throes of deciding on how to raise the mast - the last experiment didn't work out, so I'm after the A-frame model at this point. Raise the mast? Are we on antidepressants lately? |
