Local autoparts store should carry a Heli-coil kit. Just get the correct
thread size and go for it. BTW, water in the drive doesn't work well. "Larry Crowe" wrote in message ... It looked like it was the cover threads, would be to simple and to inexpensive to have been the stick. I pulled it out after I tightened it and the aluminum from the cover was wrapped around the stick threads, a small piece was loose in the hole ,which I managed to get out. I saw the bolts you described, so I guess the whole piece comes off, uhh? I'm ****ed at myself as of this writing,i didn't apply that much pressure and it took a good bit of pressure to get it off. I really wanted to get out this weekend, but your making me nervous ,i thought that since its on top and its semi secure and out of the water that I should be ok,until I get it repaired. Thanks Larry |
